Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport in Uganda, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park. The park is one of the prime primate destinations in the East African region; it houses about 13 primate species, including chimpanzees. On your way to Kibale Forest National Park, you will have an en route lunch in Mubende, and when you arrive at the park in the evening, you will check into your lodge, have dinner, and stay overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Nature Walk
This morning, transfer to Kanyachu Center and get briefed on the tracking etiquette. Then you will head into the forests in search of chimpanzees. As you walk through the forests, you will enjoy the sights of birds and other primates living in the forests. On finding the chimpanzees, you will be amazed by the beautiful chimpanzees playing on top of the trees, picking fruits, and many more. So, in this course, you have a limit of an hour to enjoy the presence of the apes, then head to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on an afternoon guided walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, one of the best spots for bird watching and botanicals in Kibale Forest National Park.

Day 3: Visit Crater Lakes and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
This morning, you will check out of your lodge in Kibale and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will be en route to visit crater lakes. Enjoy a hiking moment where you will have a chance for aerial views on top of the crater hills, and after exploring the crater lakes, you will enjoy an en-route lunch, then proceed your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Check in at your lodge and relax upon reaching it.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park (lion tracking experience, game drive, boat cruise)
This morning prepare for a morning Lion tracking experience, this is a special adventure done only at Queen Elizabeth National Park. The experience mainly is aimed at seeing the lions and it’s while following radio tractors, so after tracking the lions double it with game viewing on the Kasenyi section of the park, you will spot plenty of fauna and flora species including mammals like Lions, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes, impala, waterbucks, and many more. The adventure experience will take about 5 hours, then will return refresh with lunch and wait for an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel to watch Hippos, crocodiles, water birds and many more land mammals on the banks of the channel.

Day 5: Ishasha and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today we set off on a drive from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This drive will go through the southern Queen Elizabeth National Park Ishasha sector to first track the tree climbing lions. These are rare cats, which sometimes, for various reasons, are seen lazily relaxed under tree branches. The lion tracking is a one-on-one game viewing drive that rewards sightings of many other animals. Then, with lunch en route, we will proceed on a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, reaching the park by late evening hours. Check-in at your lodge and relax for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking and Batwa visits
This morning comes with an energizer, then we will take a drive to the trekking start point, get briefed and grouped, then get assigned to a certain habituated gorilla family and embark into the jungle under the lead of an armed ranger guide. If you can’t have your backpacker at your back during the trek, you can hire a porter to help you with the backpack ($100). The unmade path can last between 30 minutes and 6 hours, and on seeing the giants, you have an hour in their presence. At their sight, you will realize that it’s a life time moment to see your closest relatives, whom science has approved to be the evolution of man. They will return to your lodge, refresh, and take an evening visit to the local people, the Batwa of the land. These people, for ages, shared the forests with gorillas under the conservation effort where they were forcefully evicted. Then we will return to your lodge and relax for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
This relaxed morning, I will check out of the lodge and transfer to Rwanda, directly to Volcanoes National Park via the Cyanika border. Upon park arrival, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Golden Monkey Trekking and the Ibyiwacu Cultural Village
This morning, you will transfer to the park headquarters to get briefed on the golden monkey trekking alongside other guests, then start the journey into the forest to search for the habituated golden monkeys, which takes you about 2–3 hours. After spending an hour with golden monkeys, exit the forest and be driven to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later in the evening, head out for a cultural experience at Ibyiwacu cultural village, where you will be introduced to the stunning traditional dance and drama of the local Rwandese. Return to your lodge in time for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Kivu
This morning, drive to the amazing Gisenyi, mainly to explore Lake Kivu. On your arrival, you will enjoy your lunch at the shores of Lake Kivu and spend the remaining hours of the day exploring Lake Kivu on a boat cruise, walking and swimming as you view the stunning vegetation cover along the shores of Lake Kivu and have a stunning view of Mount Nyiragongo in Virunga National Park. Afterward, we will drive to check-in at your booked lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
This morning embark on a drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park which is about 6-7 hour’s road drive, and reaching the park will be exhausted. Then, will check-in at your lodge to relax, then dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk
With packed, energizing snacks and enough bottled water, drive to the park headquarters for a briefing with other chimpanzee trekkers. Get grouped, and with the lead of an experienced and armed ranger guide, embark into the forest to search for the apes. The exercise is expected to last between 1 hour and 5 hours, depending on the movement of chimpanzees and the trekking speed of trekkers. A lot is spotted along the tracks of other primates, mammals, and several birds. Spotting a community of chimpanzees will have a limit of an hour in their presence, close to 7 m away as you watch chimpanzees on their daily activities.
Afterwards, will en-route for lunch, then relax for an evening canopy walk, the canopy walk at Nyungwe is a world class walk and the best in Africa raised at an elevation of 50m and stretching about 150m in length. This canopy walk offer a clear view of Nyungwe forest national park and all that is in it due to a great elevation that is almost a tree height. You will encounter several primate species including the chimpanzees, monkeys, baboons, mammals such as Elephants, buffaloes and several birds.

Day 12: Transfer to Kigali Rwanda
This morning, check out of the lodge and embark on your journey to Kigali with a stopover at the museum. Upon arrival in Kigali, you will spend your evening at leisure or have a city tour.

Day 13: Transfer to Akagera National Park
Today, set off on a drive to Akagera National Park, home to the big five game and other wildlife in Rwanda. Reaching the park, checking in at your lodge, having a lunch meal, and embarking on an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema. This boat cruise rewards you with stunning and scenic views of different aquatic wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, water birds, and many more that thrill along Lake Ihema. Yes, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Game Drive and Transfer to Gesenyi
This morning, enjoy a morning game viewing drive, getting closer to animals as they roam this savanna park. Among the spots in the game viewing drive will be animals like lions, rhinos, zebras, impalas, giraffes, Topis, elephants, and many more. You can also spot various birds such as Senegal lapwings, giant kingfisher, grey crowned crane, open bill stock, papyrus gonolek, and many more. After the game drive, you will head back to the lodge for lunch, freshen up, and check out of your lodge to start the road drive to Gesenyi via Kigali.

Day 15: Transfer to Virunga National Park to hike Mount Nyiragongo
With packed lunch box transfer to Goma DR Congo visa the Gesenyi, at the borderyou will visit the office at Grande barrier for clearances and proceed to obtain your mount Nyiragongo Volcano hiking permit and meet the Convoy to transfer you to Kibati ranger post where all Mount Nyiragongo hikers meet for a briefing. At the briefing, you obtain all the information about mount Nyiragongo, when it last erupted, the dos and don’ts while hiking and the possible encounters along the hike. Hire a porter to assist in carrying your extra luggage, also hire a sleeping bag in case you dint carry your plus a cook to prepare your dinner while at the summit.
By 10:00am, start the hike together with armed rangers and guide first through the montane forest at the base of the mountain where you will spot lots of wildlife including primates, mammals, birds, butterflies, reptiles and many more. Along the hike, you will be rewarded with stunning view of Virunga national park and the neighboring volcanoes with in the park. Then, you will stop along the way to enjoy your packed lunch and proceed to ascend up to the summit which is the most rewarding thing you will live to remember as you watch the glowing Lava Lake and view the neighboring parks including Mgahinga gorilla national park in Uganda and Volcanoes national park in Rwanda with all the volcanoes that thrill with in. you have an overnight at the summit watching the Lake and taking those memorable photographs.
Day 16: Descend Mount Nyiragongo and transfer back to Kigali.
After energizing, will embark on descending starts at around 6:30am and it’s so rewarding and easier than ascending and even takes less time. By 10:00am, you will be back at Kibati where a convoy will be waiting to drive you back to Goma to meet your Rwanda safari driver for a pick up. Upon meeting your Rwanda driver, you will embark on a journey to Kigali for lunch, have a city tour in case you have a night flight and finally be dropped off at Kigali international airport for departures.

Day 17: Flight to Nairobi and city tour
Enjoy your relaxed morning, the will take a late morning drive to Kigali International Airport for a flight to Nairobi, Kenya. Arriving at Jomo Kenyatta international airport Nairobi meet your safari driver and proceed to check-in at your Lodge in Nairobi capital. After lunch, will decide either a city drive or visiting Nairobi National Park which is only about 20 minutes’ drive from the capital. Then will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 18: Transfer to Amboseli National Park
This morning will drive to Amboseli National Park, It’s about 5 hours from Nairobi reaching Amboseli national park via Athi plains and proceed the journey to the bottom of the highest mountain peak in Africa, Kilimanjaro Mountain. You will arrive in time for lunch. After having your lunch, relax a bit in the swimming pool overlook Kilimanjaro mountain peak, thenm will consider an evening game drive. The game drive here take you to watch the region’s largest herds of elephants, wildebeests, hippos, lions , birds, butterflies and many other attractions.

Day 19: Explore Amboseli National Park
After refreshing, then will proceed for a morning game viewing experience and to enjoy photography in the savannah plains of the national park which is home to herds of elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, antelopes, zebras, antelopes, lions, leopards among others as well as different bird species. En-route for lunch, then take a guided evening walk through various walking trails in the park, this brings you close to nature, however, nature walks are done within areas which are not familiar with elephants, though reach with other animals.

Day 20: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National park
This other day, you will transfer from Amboseli to Lake Nakuru National Park across the rift valley escarpment as you enjoy the beautiful scenery around you. This park is known as a haven of wildlife. Lake Nakuru National Park is such a stunning destination in Kenya that thrills in the Great Rift Valley region of Kenya with experiences of fascinating wildlife viewing. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed on an en-route game drive during which you will see wildlife species such as giraffes, rhinos, gazelles, buffalos, antelopes, reedbucks, elands, and impalas, among others, as you head to your lodge for lunch.

Day 21: Transfer to the Masai Mara National Reserve
On a drive across this flamingo known lake, we will transfer to the southern edge of Kenya to Masai Mara National Reserve, the capital of safaris in the country. It’s about 6 hours of driving to this stunning safari destination, and you will enjoy the endless plains dotted with short savannah plains offering easy views of animals living in the reserve. Animals found and spotted in Masai Mara National Reserve include lions, cheetahs, leopards, cape buffaloes, rhinos, wildebeests, hartebeests, and many more. On your arrival with lunch en route, you will have a moment to visit the local communities of the Masai people. These are proud Africans who display their tradition to the world through story tales, songs, and dances, as well as selling some of their handmade crafts. Day 22 and 23: Explore Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend two days here to explore the reach endowments; among the adventures you will do are game viewing drives, nature walks, hiking and visiting the Mara River, and an optional hot air balloon safari. During your game drive, you will see a variety of wildlife species, such as predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as other wildlife species like elephants, buffalos, hartebeests, zebras, antelopes, and wildebeests, which are among the spectacular sights at this destination, especially during the time of the wildebeest migration as large numbers of wildebeest move around the Savannah Plains in search of greener pastures.

Day 24: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Check out of your lodge and embark on a journey to your next destination, which is Serengeti National Park. You will be driven to the Kenya-Tanzania border at the Isebania border, where you will clear customs and proceed to Serengeti National Park, where you will check in at your lodge for dinner and have a night’s sleep.

Day 25: Explore Serengeti National Park
Do this morning game viewing experience through the Serengeti Plains, watching various wildlife species, which include elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, antelopes, impalas, and elands, among others. You will visit the retina hippo pool after returning to your lodge for lunch as you prepare to have an afternoon game drive as you enjoy the open savannah plains and kopjes, where you will see lions as they observe their prey. You will enjoy driving around the national park as you look for wildlife species and watch the sunset on the way to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep, as above.

Day 26: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
This morning board for a drive to the neighboring Ngorongoro Conservation Area, will reach to the Ngorongoro Crater, the drive will be with packed lunch. Upon arrival, you will descend into the Caldera and explore it till the sun goes down then head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 27: Transfer to Lake Eyasi
This morning, descend into the caldera for a half day adventure in the world’s largest caldera where you will spot thousands of large mammals and other small mammal that thrill in this caldera including the endangered black rhinos without forgetting a golden opportunity of interacting with the local Masai people who live and graze their wildlife in the caldera alongside wildlife. After this adventure, you will exit Ngorongoro Crater for Lake Eyasi via Karatu town and proceed to Mangola where the offices are situated. Then will take a cultural adventure with the Hadza tribe exploring their traditional and lifestyle.

Day 28: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
This morning, men will roll into the jungle for the hunt as ladies and children take on the responsibility of collecting fruits. After this, by 10:00 a.m., you will be back at the lodge for a late breakfast before embarking on a journey to connect to Lake Manyara National Park. Depending on your arrival time, you will check in at your lodge and enjoy an evening game drive.
Day 29: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
This day will take a half day game drive in the wilderness of Lake Manyara National Park, home to tree climbing lions. You will spot plenty of nocturnal animals and hunters that arise early. After this adventure, check out of the lodge and meet your driver to embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park, which is your next wildlife viewing destination. On arrival, proceed to check-in at your lodge before continuing for an evening game drive if time allows. As you explore the savannah plains of Tarangire National Park, some of the wildlife species you will see include herds of elephants as well as other wildlife species like zebras, hartebeests, elephants, waterbucks, gazelles, and oryx, among others.
Day 30: Tarangire national park to Arusha (3 hours’ drive)
Arise on an early morning game drive to explore different parts of the Tarangire National Park, after which you will return to the lodge for a late breakfast, check out of the lodge, and set off on a journey to Arusha with a stopover at the craft shops to admire the local arts and crafts and to interact with the local community only if you wish to, and your final destination will be back in Arusha for hotel or airport drop-off.
