Day 1. Arrival in Nairobi
Arrival at Nairobi International Airport, will be picked up by your driver guide/ receive your car rental if on a self-drive. Then will transfer to your hotel in Nairobi for dinner and overnight.
Day 2. Transfer to Lake Nakuru National park
Transfer to Lake Nakuru national park which is famous for the presence of up to two million Flamingos, which makes the lake famous alongside about 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. In addition, many species of game can be found in the Park including the introduced Rothschild’s Giraffe, black and White Rhino, Waterbuck, Reedbuck, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Baboon and many species of plains game. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3. Transfer from Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
This morning you shall drive further to Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving at the Lodge in time for lunch. In late afternoon go for a game drive to search for its density of animals including the Big Five and 453 species of birds, it is one of the most visited reserves in Africa. During this time the great migration is fully observed since it’s on its high gear. The dramatic river crossings are a gruesome spectacle of survival of the fittest. Dinner and overnight
Day 4. Masai Mara National Reserve
Today will hurry for a morning sunrise game drive through the Masai Mara plains, through the popular game sanctuary you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). Morning and afternoon game drives with an optional visit to a local Masai village. Dinner and overnight. Then can consider afternoon/evening guided nature walk which brings you close to what nature can offer you.
Day 5. Transfer from Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park
This morning will drive by road towards Isebania / Sirare Border where you will make a brief stop for visa processing to enter Tanzania. At the border on the Tanzania side (Sirare) you will change jeeps and proceed from here with a Tanzanian registered safari jeep and a safari guide from the Tanzania side according to the new laws. You will drive through Nyamongo mining villages and Mugumu Township towards the Serengeti National park accessing the park through Ikoma Gate or Fort Ikoma Ranger post depending on where your camp is located in the Serengeti.
Then will do your first game drive in the Serengeti straightaway in search of the many animals and birds that Serengeti has to offer. In the late afternoon you will check in at a lodge / camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Serengeti National Park
Being among the fortunate people, you will glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages.
Following that picnic lunch service will take an afternoon will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, which usually attract a number of lion and some formidably large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons – including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Transfer from Serengeti to Ngorongoro
In the morning, we will have another game drive in Serengeti National Park. Then in the afternoon, proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Olduvai Gorge museum, a famous archaeological location in East Africa. At Laetoli, located 45 km south of Olduvai gorge, you will find hominin footprints preserved in volcanic rock that dates back 3.6 million years ago and represent some of the earliest signs of mankind in the world. Dinner and accommodation: Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.
Day: 8 Explore Ngorongoro
After breakfast descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor. Dinner and overnight.
Day 9 Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge and after lunch, then will do the Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game drive. This national park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park), located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions (rare), as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. Dinner and overnight.
Day 10. Transfer from Lake Manyara– Arusha to Entebbe
After breakfast, drive to Arusha to catch up with our flight to Uganda. You will be met by our driver guide in Entebbe and be transferred to your hotel in Kampala
Day 11. Transfer to Jinja
This early morning will drive to Jinja eastern of Kampala about 78km which road is well congested as far as traffic is concerned but will use the Gayaza –Kayunga- Jinja road. Reaching at the falls get ready, be briefed and enjoy the adventurous adrenaline of the white water rafting. Enjoy up to grade V for advanced rafters. Then, in the evening hours will take a boat ride to the source of the Nile. Check-in at your hotel/lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 12. Jinja to Murchison Falls National Park
This morning still using the Kayunga route will drive northern of Uganda to through Gulu road to Murchison. However, will consider an afternoon en-route at ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the only rhinos in Uganda. Then continue to Masindi town for your overnight.
Day 13: Explore Murchison Falls National Park
Will early to Murchison Falls through Kinyumbonyobo gate, and drive to the northern section to do a late morning game drive. The game drive can last for rough 3 hours and comes with an experience of variety of wildlife including some of the big five like lions, elephants, leopards and buffalos, it hosts the largest herds of antelopes, giraffes among other. Then in the afternoon hours will take a boat cruise to the bottom of the Murchison falls watching how the huge rapids force into a narrow gorge to form such a thunderous humus roars. It’s roughly 3 hours of the cruise and will have to visit the top of the falls before driving back to your lodge.
Day 14. Transfer Kibale forest national park
It’s a long day of driving which takes about 6 hours, reaching Fort Portal city one of the top tourism cities of Uganda. With lunch en-route will have a city drive and walk and in the evening hours transfer to Kibale at your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 15. Chimpanzee tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Spend the morning tracking the exuberant chimp families in the Kibale forest. Tracking chimpanzees in their natural habitat, as they swing from the branches in the canopy high above the forest floor, is a thrilling experience. Though they can be difficult to spot, you will be in no doubt of their presence as the forest is alive with their noisy calls. Return to the lodge for lunch and embark on your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park arriving late afternoon. Dinner and overnight.
Day 16. Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park
With packed breakfast, drive to Kasenyi section of Queen Elizabeth National Park for an incredible game viewing, and it will be an incredible experience to have your breakfast under the arrays of sunrise. It’s one of the rewarding game experiences accompanied by variety of wildlife species including; elephants, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, buffalos, lions, warthogs among so many species to watch accompanied by several bird species. During the afternoon hours, drive to Mweya peninsular for a boat cruise on Kazinga channel. The wild boat cruise is an opening of watching more animals. Several animals are seen coming to the channel banks to draw water and the aquatic life seen either socked in water or lousily relaxed at water banks. Then, after will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 17. Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Enjoy your breakfast and head southwest of Queen Elizabeth national park in search of tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector where on a lucky day, you will be able to spot many of them lounging on trees and enjoying the sun! Continue and proceed to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park arriving in the evening. Check in to your hotel, unwind, and enjoy dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma lodge.
Day 19. Gorilla Trekking – Bwindi
Breakfast, at 7:30am be at the starting point, be briefed, and get grouped in the limits of 8 per group. Under the company of an armed ranger guide will embark for a search for the gentle giants. The trek lasts for about 30 minutes to about 4 hours to find your assigned habituated gorilla family. Gorilla trekking is about walking through the unmade paths, moist thick jungle, hikes and slopes through hills and valleys and on finding the gorillas it’s a tiresome moment, a moment with the apes, the tiresomeness is forgotten and you have a full hour before them. If time allows, you will visit the Batwa community around the Buhoma community to have a feel of their real life. Then, will drive to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat ride and relax at you lodge, have dinner and rest for the next day.
Day 20. Transfer to Kampala
Enjoy an early morning breakfast and transfer back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch, arriving in Kampala in the evening. Will have an en-route at the Equator for photography and continue on a drive to Kampala and a drop off to your hotel in Kampala or the Airport for your onward flight.
